MK6 Engine Malfunction but rail pressure correct. Help!

Postby Drive4it » Wed May 23, 2018 12:12 pm

Hi.
I'm no mechanic.
I've got a transit Tourneo minibus 59 plate.
After having an issue I had both pressure sensor and relief valve fitted fitted by a diesel specialist..
But for some reason a fault of p0089 rail pressure won't go away and on starting the engine it shows engine Malfunction light.
Can clear it but soon as starting engine it comes on again.
All perimeters in regards to fuel pressure and voltage etc are reading correct. Rail pressure nominal 23.6MPA and rail pressure sensor voltage 1.36v
Because of the new MOT regulations it won't pass on the light coming up. Very frustrating

Any help would be muchly appreciated
