hi lads, any help please, my mk 6 hi top transit has had a loud exhaust for sometime now so i decided to get it checked out, the garage said all the noise was coming from around the erg with a split pipe and they suggested they blank it off rather then pay fords for a new part. my question is when its ready for an mot in a months time will it fail under the new rules and is it safe to blank off,cheers

Blank it of as a temp measure and I'll update you as my mot is due and I'll be back on the road in a week or 2 with a blanked egr and removed dpf in the exhaust down pipe so il see of it's a fail
