Pats system on mk6 box van 53 plate

Postby Shaunh » Fri Jun 01, 2018 6:26 pm

Hi all ,sorry I know it's not a new subject but my van has been dead for 5 months now , PCM coms error on PATS system ...I have sent fuel pump module to actronics and it was NFF. I also sent ECU and both keys on their request for test but no luck there ..in fact they said they couldn't do it ...I knew I had the cluster breaking down also so sent that to Essex Recons with the ECU and they have been really helpful cluster repaired but nothing apparent with the ECU ...I Wanted the PATs deleted if possible ...
I saw on here that a person has said they can rewire and bypass the system in hours ? At least I would know if it's something else if that was done . I must add I have not yet been able to check the loom behind the pump in case of a break ...
I can prove I am the owner of the van and it's stuck on my drive .....can anyone help get it going I will pay the going rate ...I live in Langport Somerset
I have the continuing flashing LED and only hard fault code is B2139 and I think the second code after the minute flashing is 23 ...53plate 2.0 Duratec ...be very pleased to hear from anyone
Thanks Shaun

B2139
is mismatch data meaning the pump and keys are not coded together

for what every reason its lost it memory

you need to reprogram the keys and also the pump edu

Thank you ,do you know if there is any mobile service that can do that as I'm a bit in the sticks or has it got to go to Ford ? I guess the pump ecu re program is the difficult bit ? I have heard that some mobile lock smiths can do the keys ? ,
I only have one original and an aftermarket spare which both worked and will crank it over .

as its 2.0l, I'd remove the wiring loom going to the pump, undo all the covering and check VERY carefully for breaks in any of the wires in that loom, at least 30 cm from the pump plug, especially where it goes past the starter. The wires may not look damaged, but could be broken internally. Its a common issue on the FWD Vans.

Thanks Andy that's next on list ,got repaired clocks back today and ecu ..all back in ...to confirm the code flashed after one minute is code 23 ....I see this could be a duff ECU somewhere on here ? I hope not ..but I guess a broken wire could cause it to tell you that as it couldn't communicate properly ? Thanks again for the help .

I would check the wiring, its messy but free, took me 7 1/2 hours to find a 1mm break in my pump wire behind the starter motor. N
