My van left the factory like this, you thoughts welcome

Postby KevofCov » Sat Jul 28, 2018 7:45 am

These are 3 examples of what my van looks like this underneath. The areas of what looks like shadows are missing paint and or underseal. I’m due at the dealers next week so any thoughts are most welcome.

Have them deal with that. It’s clearly poor quality checking and it should be sealed and protected

Just stick some red lead over it
You'll probably do a better job than the apprentice at the dealer
And it would be just a quick as taking pics of it

Quick update. Dealer not interested. 'They are all like it'. And so they are - he showed me an unregistered van and it made mine look good
FORD - 'almost enough and no more'

Probably just the bits the carrier of the shell blanked off before the axles went on
Can you find it in your heart to forgive them?

I think you'll find they ARE all like that...do as bjt says and do it youself.

If you’re planning on keeping the van then you’re better off doing the whole underside properly. If you’re only keeping it a few years, don’t worry about it, it won’t be a problem to you.

Water n sh*t gets under the original underseal and it falls off in rusty clumps anyway

But as my close personal friend Mike points out by that time a disgusting farty old tramp will own your van 8)

Nice chat
Bye :P
