You cannot hot wire it, you will need to have key coded in with ids or similar diagnostic gear.

What Punto said...it's not possible without coding with a key with IDS or Forscan....or the chip from the key.

A 2005 135...? That's one of them "Posessed by the Devil" TDCi machines...run man...run fast...run far..

Is your old van a FWD or RWD...TDCi or TDDi..??..If it's a FWD, you're in trouble, if it's a RWD TDDi, you're still in trouble.... it will be more than just swapping out the engine I'm afraid.

well.. no joy from u guys... the auction starts on Wednesday... My van has the chip and I opened the steering column... the transponder has 2 wires to it...I'm not going to buy the damn thing if I have to tilt tray it home.. 300ks. and my teleporting is not what I'd like it to be... can I bypass the transponder... the two wires... ??? I took the engine out because it revved to the max for 5 min.. dumped diesel in the sump... when I get another 135 t350 I'll swap the cpu and lots of stuff.
So... bypassing the transponder...

You can't by-pass the transponder...the ECU is expecting to see a coded key/chip before it will even think about starting.

OK... thanks all.. I'm looking into a tilt tray at a cheap backload price... I blame it all on the computer chip...

Heres an idea,

Why not fit the pcm, transponder ring and ignition barrel to the auction van :?: if your van is a 135 same as the auction van and similar age it should work should it not :?:

Just a thought, might work might not, what do I know I'm just a wallpapering technician. N

I'm trying to organize a backload with a local tilt tray guy... if not... I'll just keep searching.. I'm in no rush its a camper van and I can't retire for 7 more years... hey by then... they should be giving them away...

I know that Knobby... power .something..module... but cpu is generic.. even I know what that means... so here's a thought. .what if !!!
I get the cpu out of my 135 ( its just 2 bolts and a wire loom) and put it into the auction 135 then break the key barrel via screwdriver and then insert mt transponder key... both engines are the H9FA model... will that work or do I still have to twist the wires n hot wire? Kinda what Ned said without taking the barrel out...

I believe if you put your pcm and transponder ring in the other van and tape your key to the transponder ring then it should in theory start with a screwdriver. N

You wouldn't need to break the barrell, just swap the chips in the keys over, BUT, aren't the injectors coded to the CPU/ECU on a TDCI.

Transponder ring won't need to be swapped as they're generic.
