TRANSIT CAB CHASSIS AXLE RATIOS

Postby ramtec » Sat Aug 18, 2018 8:58 am

I got the following information from the General section of the forum.

"G axle= type 53 axle which has only a rear plate on the diff and is fitted to double rear wheels.ratios-4.63:1 5.14:1 5.83:1 "

The ratio I have is 5.14:1 will the crown wheel and pinion ratio 4.63:1 fit into my diff ?

Yes as long as it’s from the same type axel, ie a 5 wheel stud diff wouldn’t fit a 6 wheel stud diff.
You can fit a crown wheel and pinion from a 6 stud single wheel to your twin wheel axel, but the 5 stud is totally different.
