Fuses on MK 5

Heloo Lads,
Today as I pushed the button to lift the tipper it was completely dead, I have checked trhe batteries and they are all good,where is the fuse for the ram? I dont see it on the diagrams ,I would be very grateful for any advice.

It's unlikely it will be part of the van electrics, have you checked round the batteries for inline fuses?

Or try following the wires from the switch. To see if there's a fuse, also check switch wiring for power, and power at the tipper motor.

Tippers were always add on electrics and they take A LOT of power. Its likely to have a big fuse on the cable near the battery

Thanks Lads,
I do recall a a big fuse in a coloured box being replaced before,as mentioned by the separate battery for the tipping gear, the fuse in the wires leading from the switch is ok, connections ok and the battery ok. When these fuses are sealed in a box how will i know if it's blown? I will check the numbers on the fuses by the battery and order new, in the meantime I will unload by hand. thanks, les
