Possible swap- 1.8 for 2.2 with 6 speed box. Advice??

Hi all,
An interesting proposition came up this morning at work. One of the lads was asking about my 2008 Connect T230 and how the motor was. I said it was ok but limited to 65mph. No big deal I said as I'm no speed merchant these days.
He then asked If I wanted his 2009 Ford Mondeo 2.2 diesel with six speed box. This car runs sweet with a recently refurbed turbo.

It got me thinking if it was possible to swap out the 1.8 in the van and wether it was worth the hassle.

Pros? It would likely negate the 65mph limiter. I would have the complete car to pick parts from. The torque would be great. It would sit at 60 without breaking sweat wouldn't it?

Cons? Not sure really. What do you all think.

It would be far easier, and probably cheaper, to get the Connect re-mapped and the limiter removed
