All the standard looking in-line ones don't mention pressure regulation. The facet type i've never heard of but looking it up just now it looks like the one on my little Iseki tractor. That could be the solution and it's smaller and cheaper than the SU type :D

Thanks a lot, I will report back once I've got one installed.

SU pumps are 3.5 psi max cut off for the highest pressure ones .
There are now electronic SU pumps that do away with the points
SU''s are meant for carb fed engines

The rover ones, (not SU) that are fitted to petrol fuel injection engines of the 90's /up to 2005 are about 40 psi but have some sort of regulator screwed into the manifold..to lower psi at tick over and overrun and dump excess back to the tank.

Places like demon tweaks sell an adjustable pressure regulator for such pumps,...you need a fuel pressure gauge with these ..to see what you are running

Thanks for the input I was trying to avoid anything additional like a separate regulator but we'll see after i've fitted the Facet pump.

Just to give some update, I fitted a pump which was not actually a Facet type in the end although it looked like one but was from Aliexpress but is anyway a diaphragm type. It seems to be working fine, just comes on with the ignition so if the ignition's on motor is probably running so it shouldn't have to pump against a closed circuit too much of the time.

Thanks,
