battery change

hi lads ,it seems strange but both of my batteries will not hold a full charge i would like to change both but not sure how you are supposed to get to them under the seat, is there an easy way and am i missing something here, many thanks

Taking the seat out is the easiest way to change them. I remove the 4x 13mm nuts at the front and back of the sliding rails, and tip the seat over on to the passenger seat :)

Exactly how I do it....only take a couple of mins.

thanks for the replies lads. is there a way i can tell which battery is totally shot rather than buy two?

From experience on twin battery setups 12/24 volt fitting only one new battery into the system will drag the new one down and seen it kill the new one many times

Proper load test will tell you, replacing both will be the best option....but usually it's the front battery which fails first, it does most of the work. Best to swap them every 6 months or so to share the load.
