reverse lights

Morning everyone. recently had a recon gearbox fitted to my 2012 mk7 trend fwd 6 speed, and since then the reverse lights have not worked. l have bought a new switch (not been able to check the wires yet or check the plug by putting a link in as l have been away and now its peeing down). lf this fails is there an adjustment on the gear cables? Gears all work fine. Many thanks.
2005 85ps t280 swb camper, chrome door handles, outside temp gauge and clock and auxiliary 12volt socket. Colour coded bumpers & door mirrors, Mondeo glasses holder. Auto dim rear view mirror. Vantunered

All sorted it was the switch.
