Identifying engine size in Mk7 Transit

Postby NB_Liberty » Fri Mar 01, 2024 7:15 pm

On my 2013 mk7 RWD 100/T350 transit, the v5 indicates a 2.2L engine is fitted, but when I compare the layout and appearance of my engine and ancillary components to the images in the Transit owner handbook, mine looks like a Duratorq 2.4L or 3.2L engine. The photos here are of my engine bay plus a photo of each of the engine sizes in the handbook. Anyone else have a 2.2L that looks like mine?

Someone has suggested the Ford Owners Manual has a 2.2L FWD shown rather than a RWD - might a 2.2L RWD unit look like mine?

Yours is a RWD Euro 5 engine, so can only be a 2.2. The 2.2 engine is used on both FWD and RWD vans after 2011, but is different to the older Euro 4 2.2

The Euro 4 2.4 and 3.2 RWD engines were never used after 2011 when the Euro 5 came out
