Tourneo 2020 Side Steps (Rear Aircon!)

Hi all,

New to the site.

I have a Tourneo 2020 SWB Titanium X and it has rear air con.

While it already has side steps at the back to help rear passengers getting in and out the step doen't come out far enough to help my Mother In Law (87) getting in or out. Additionally my semi-disabled wife is struggling to do the same but in the front passenger seat.

I had the idea of getting a set of side steps that run the length of the van and stick out about 140mm. So far every set I've found says they cannot be fitted IF you have rear air con as the pipes get in the way! It's very annoyinmg as the other option will be to get a disabled equipment specialist to fit various parts costing a LOT of money - which I'd prefer not to do.

Anyone got any leads of a Company that supplies these, especially for SWB vans fitted with rear aircon? If so could you send me the link please.

Alternatively, has anyone had a similar issue but bought a stabndard set of steps then adapted the rear bracket (which I believe is the issue) or chnaged the aircon pipes? Interested to know if it can be done and how difficult it is.
