2006 Mk6 RWD 2.4 90hp D2FA/B. Strange Immo code.

Hi all, I work on these things a lot, but I've not come across this problem before.
I have had a Mk6 tipper towed in, drove to site then refused to start - non start but cranks with the following codes.
P1664 - FIP Error
P1564 - FIP Demanding Reduced Fueling
B2139 - Pats Module failed to recognise the PCM identification.

Normally the if the first two codes pop up its a case of send the EDC off for a new transistor, refit and jobs a good un. But I fear that there is more going on here. I can clear the last code but it comes back after cranking. The immo light behaves as normall, no flashing once key in and light goes off.

I tried to match the PATs system with Forscan but it fails - eventually.
Recoded both keys, successful but still no start.

Using Forscan in the list of modules present I see this message 'This Visteon PCM dose not support reading PIDs from FIP module' not sure if this is normal, I don't usually get the Forscan out on the Mk6's.

Using Launch scanner I get exactly the same codes.

Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks for any input.

Jay.

Have you read the LED blink codes for the immob? sometimes its easier to use them to work out whats going on.

Has the EDC been fixed? I guess if its got an unusual failure it could cause a PCM issue?

Hi, thanks for the reply. There are no blink codes, immo light is behaving normally, I have now managed to run a successful Pats module initialisation. Code still persists though. I haven't had the edu repaired yet as not sure if it will have any effect if there is a communication issue between the FIP and PCM or even if its the Pats issue that throwing the PCM codes relating to the pump.

I have now managed to get the PATs system to match the modules successfully, just required a couple more cycles of ign on and off. Code still persists.
