Mk6 steering wheel position adjustment?

Ok start again. I wasnt asking for a vote on whether there is a problem. I already know there is. (for me anyway, even with my fairly long arms), I was looking for ideas on how to fix it.

are you sure your seat isn't broke

TRY without siting in seat, press the levers one for front of seat and one for the back, then you should be able to raise the whole seat quite a lot

Yes it all works Ok. Have tried it right up, right down, and tilt as well at all heights. Higher makes it worse. Ive got the seat quite well forward, any further and my legs are restricted. I can actually reach the 3 & 9 position, but my arms are nearly straight, which isnt ideal and gets tiring.

Hey, just wondering if you ever solved this seating issue as I've recently bought a mk6 Transit (My first Transit) and am also 5'11" and find the seating position to be a strain on my back and shoulders to maintain the correct steering control. Have thought about a boss to move the wheel out and was looking for a steering rack conversion when I came across this post. J.

Did anyone ever get anywhere with this? I'm looking for a way to adjust the steering wheel now, can't find much...
