Postby pmeints » Fri Aug 13, 2010 8:45 pm

Hi Everyone, hope you can help.my keyfob will not send signsl to central locking, have tried reprograming but no joy have been advised to fit alarm and use remote from alarm to activate doors.Am quite apt at wiring but am having major trouble connecting central locking.

1. is the central locking positive trigger or negative trigger
2. which wires open/close doors.

have bought haynes manuel for wiring diagram but some colours do ring true.
has anyone done same or can anyone advise.

Cheers

Have you tried a new battery in the fob?

have tried new fob it does not work, been told by fords its prob the sender behind dash so cheaper option is to buy alarm and use that to open and close doors, but as i asked wiring alittle confusing as to what wire does what so am looking for someone that has done same and can advise.

With regards to your problem, have you checked BOTH fuses for locks? If so, the "Seneder" they refer too, is the locking module itself, if thats faulty you won't be able to trigger using an alarm either.

In answer to your questions:

The doors are negative trigger and look at the following diagram of the two plugs on the CDL Module (Viewed looking at them plugged in so numbers are cables)

Image

Blue plug Wire No.14 is Unlock
Blue plug Wire No.15 is Lock

Both must be pulsed neagtive for about 1 second to operate locks. f you have a van with rear doors, you'll also need to pulse Blue plug Wire No.10 to Unlock them. (a double pole relay will be needed to achieve this as during lock or rest periods wires 14 and 10 must not remain connected together) Only need to pulse both wires for unlock, as any single motor input for Lock, locks everything.

Hope that helps,
Andy :D

Has anyone got a full pinout for this module? I am fitting my alarm and have the doors locking and locking. I can't get it to double lock, touching lock wire too ground twice doesn't work. I would like to use the door switch signals if possible to make wiring a bit easier going.
BTW pin 10, rear unlock, the wire was cut already, is it best to keep that way?

Hi I can tell you rest of pinout if you look at the plug pictures above. The double lock feature requires two separate pulses one after the other on two separate wires, the 'lock' and the 'set' inputs, likewise to unlock is 'unlock' and 'reset' wires. Leave the rear door unlock wire cut, as that is the safety / security mod done by fords, it stops all the doors unlocking if the rear door harness is cut through from outside.

Ok pinout is as follows.

Green Plug:
1. Indicator feed right hand
2. 12v permanent feed
3. Rear/Side/Drivers/Passengers door motor feed
4. Rear/Side door motor feed
5. 12V permanent feed
6. -ve to chassis
7. Rear/Side/Drivers/Passengers door motor feed
8. Drivers/Passengers door motor feed
9. Indicator feed left had
10. 'Set' input rear door lock mechanism
11. DLC k-line (diagnostic socket connection)
12. (Spare / not used)
13. Radio ground connection (alarm trigger on radio removal)
14. Bonnet switch ground input (alarm trigger [if used])
15. (spare / not used)
16. Horn / alarm siren feed (if used)

Blue plug:

1. 'reset' input from rear door mechanism
2. Rear door ajar input (interior light trigger) negative with door shut, open circuit with door open
3. (spare)
4. 'reset' input from drivers or passengers door lock mechanisms
5. Sliding door ajar input (left side) interior light trigger pinswitch type so negative with door Open, open circuit door closed.
6. Sliding door ajar input (right side) interior light trigger pinswitch type so negative with door Open, open circuit door closed. (European models only)
7. 12v Ignition switched feed
8. Ground output to operate interior light relay
9. Aerial lead (for remote fob)
10. 'unlock' signal from rear door mechanism
11. Passenger door ajar input (interior light trigger) negative with door shut, open circuit with door open
12. 'set' input drivers / passengers door lock mechanisms
13. 'lock' input rear door lock mechanism
14. 'unlock' input drivers / passengers door lock mechanisms
15. 'lock' input drivers / passengers door lock mechanisms
16. drivers door ajar input (interior light trigger) negative with door shut, open circuit with door open

Sorted now the plugs are numbered and wiring above is spot on, I now have (universal) remote central locking, mine is a non remote system so all doors unlock of the one wire :)

Hi , hope someone can help,
Making the slideout in the back, I removed the rear door locking system. Now cant get the rest of the doors to lock.
Can someone throw some give me sone idea how to make the rest of the doors lock with out the rear as when locking it just keeps unlocking its self.
Did unplug system from existing doors but there was a rely of somthing kept buzzing under the bonnet.
Any one with some ideas please?
