Cevrolet G30 C class motorhome

Postby popuptoaster » Mon Jul 29, 2013 5:36 pm

I have a Chevrolet G30 C class Motorhome that needs to go because it's to big for waht I want. Don't get to excited it has no engine or gearbox (big petrol V8 so I sold those to a hot rodder) and the interior needs some repair and reassembly. It is solid but tatty and it is still water proof, if you have the mechanical ability a small lorry diesel engine could be fitted as there is plenty of space.

It would make a good donor vehicle for anyone converting a van into a camper van as it has a all the fittings still with it, although I haven't tested any and some are in the van but not fitted.

it has a 3 burner hob/oven,
A ful sized gas/electric fridge,
water heater,
water pumps,
water tanks,
two massive LPG tanks, one was for the engine and one for the domestic supply,
Shower and half length bath tub,
toilet, waste tanks,
and probably a lot of other stuff I have forgotten.

this thing is over 20ft long and 7ft wide so don't turn up in a Ford Focus and expect to tow it up the road, it has to go complete because it's now costing me storage money so it will be going for scrap if not wanted by anyone.

The pictures are from when I first got it, be warned, while it is solid it's much dirtier and covered in moss now, plus the front panels were taken off when the engine was removed, they are still with the van, I even saved all the nuts and bolts to put it back together.

It could be towed up the road by a decent sized 4x4 but I think the police might object should you get stopped, really it needs collecting on a low loader but it's up to you.

I'm in Brentwood Essex, cant really do viewings as I'm not allowed to take strangers up onto the private land where its stored so I will have to move it when its being collected.

First come first served, please don't ask if you really don't want it or cant collect it soon as I can get a scrap man to come get it pretty fast and every day it sits it costs me money. I't FREE, I want no cash for it so please don't mess me around. :)

there is no V5 but its on UK plates and I got it from a reliable mate, so should you apply for one you should have no bother. Its on my local freecycle and a couple of other forums, i will probably give it until the weekend then call in the scrap man. so pass the word if you think you know anyone who may want it.
