ok, first off your downloading problems, the problem was caused by you trying to email ".exe" files, because of the amount of dangerous files of this type, hotmail blocked them ages ago, and windows will also bitch about them. you have to wrap them in an archive format like winzip .... but winrar is better and more secure if you password protect the file.

now for the code things, i just downloaded those and also picked up some others the other day so when i get a chance i'll sort through them and upload them somewhere then post back with the links

Ok I have a whole bunch of radio unlock software now...didn't try the bit torrent sites, plus I have a couple of extra Ford ones too . I have been attempting (elsewhere) to post up a link to allow you all to get these but I must be doing something very basic wrong with the url line code as it keeps coming back as internet explorer cannot access this server/ You are not authourized to view this page, the 2nd makes sense as you would need my password to upload the files but I wouldn't have thought it was also needed to download the same

no it is not normally needed, where are you trying to upload them to ?

I already have uploaded them to my own webspace, same as all the pictures I have shown on here. It is in a seperate folder I created called 'Downloads' but every time I write the url code I get the errors I have mentioned. what I need is an idiots version of the code needed...ie I fill in the blanks then you can all have these programs, there are 13 different folders and in most cases at least two different programs associated with the make of radio...for Fords I have 5 different programs.

hhhmmm .... not sure it is possible that because it is setup with a password for uploading that that is also set on accessing, see if you can assign an additional passowrd that is assigned as read only access, little hard to help you as i am not so good with this stuff myself.

if you can nip round a mates and try and access form his pc, if you cant, try your access link with password and see what happens then

I have had a thought I may be able to allow access to the files if Zip them as I have other files which people can download, zip and pdf file extensions, the fact that they are .exe files might be the sticky point...that or I have screwed the url code up.

yup .... could be the exe issue ... i assume this is your isp supplied web space, are their customer support any good ?
