2.5Di Breaking

Postby GreenVFR » Wed Jul 30, 2008 7:50 pm

I've got a new motor and now this rusty old lump:

needs to be moved off my patio before the missus comes home from her mother's. Does anyone want anything from it before I take it to the skip? It ran fine, no smoke but was noisy as hell, leaks oil from the sump flange and several other places and the water pump is knackered. I'm keeping the clutch and one or two other bits but the rest is going. Pump is a Lucas CAV.

Bits are yours for the postage or you can come and fetch them if you are close enough - I'm in Perthshire.

Year? I don't know.

The van is a '96 but the motor is obviously older than that. If there's a date on the block somewhere you can point me at (or you tell me where to find the engine number) I can go and look for you.

I'm in Perthshire.

you still got this ?

i was wondering on the cost of the exhaust manifold, gearstick gator and donut if they are any good, post code begins ox18

also, tip... keep those engine mounts in a box somewhere, someone will need a set of those for a an MT 75 conversion at some point, most people forget they should use those mounts with the extra support arms to help support the box

Sorry guys, havn't been on here for ages.

Now taken the lump to bits and all the steel, including the manifold, went to for scrap. Still got the gaiter and donut from the box though. Condition is "fair" (no holes I can recall but I'll check). Yours for the postage, which should only be a couple of quid.

Still got the pump, I'll get some pictures in the next day of so if you are still interested.

Dave

Hi GreenVFR,
I'll have the pump if you've still got it please. Let me know how much for postage. I'm in South Wales. If it's still available I'll PM you my address.
Many Thanks

Regards,
Chris
