thanks for your comments, been doin a bit more tonite, junked the autochoke mechanism off the carburettor and removed both of the choke flaps, had to make a small blank plate on the side of the carb where the choke mech was or it would have an air leak, then gave it a clean up and bolted it back on.
more soon.

refitted the other rocker cover today, to find one of the threads in the inlet manifold is no longer there  maybe that's why the oil is pissing out of it.
so decided to swop the gearbox out for the spare, the geardrive for the speedo has gone awol, and can only be fixed out of the van, waiting on a new starter motor aswell as my big bodied starter wont fit with the cossie sump, need a narrow bodied version, looking at the fuel pipes today and I'm going to replace those while its in bits
more soon.

been doin a bit more this weekend, got me new cooling fan fitted, along with the good one I had left, also spaced them off the rad about an inch and a quarter and made an enclosure to make them more efficiant, got the rad back in the van, but had to space it out a bit and had to chop off the brace that runs down the back under the latch, will make a new one to clear the fans.
more soon.

got the fans finished up, fitted and rad back in, finished off the new slam panel support and mounted it in front of the rad, as it wont fit behind now, and found a pair of secondary leaves of my mk2 project that I removed from the rear springs, decide to chop them down a bit and use them as spring assisters to try and raise the rear end up a tad, as its to low.
just need a set of longer spring clamps to fit them.

ive decided to strip the axle and give it a freshen up, will replace the wheel bearings along with the other new bits, the diff is pretty tight, so hopefully will be good, ratio is not ideal, but will be goin up a bit in wheel size, with a bit taller tyre so, fingers crossed.
also fitted my new fuel hose tonite, its the rot free stuff, not cheap at 10 a mtr, but hopefully I wont be replacing it anytime soon,
:)
