well i've got the rev counter but can't get it to work :? i've tried all the outputs but none seem to work :|

That got me thinking, is it the weight of the van causing it to slip?
but no, cos even if you left the handbrake on in the car, the clutch wouldn't slip would it.

There so much discussion and controversy in the states about the oil grades people reckon for different auto boxes,
but I'm sure you've already been through all that eh.

yes it was perfect
we think i underfilled the 1st box and ruined it as i filled it and didnt go through all the gears :x - maybe i didnt now :? its a shame i did that as i could rule it out if i didnt but hey ho :lol: :lol:

:roll: :roll: so u tryed to drive it out the garage with low oil u say that sujest ure clutch band as stated :? but was it? im just saying ure geuseing that because u no it can do harm but u never tryed it so to speak till north weald :? i no uve checked all ure wireing ect :? not somthing simple like a sender unit got cracked ect whilst removeing refitting on either box or engine?

i've got another torque converter now and i'm going to swap it over before north weald - if its that that was the problem then it'll be there :roll: :mrgreen:

bad news now :evil: got the torque converter off tonight but the new one ive bought is smaller - it was supposedly off a supra turbo but im not sure :? but on the plus side while searching to see if it is ive found some threads on torque converter lock up problems which might explain mine being an electrical fault............. fingers crossed :roll: :lol:
