You got rid of a Mk6 and got a Mk5 to replace it!

Now that's what I call an 'upgrade'

New clear front indicators came today so naturally I fitted them..
Image

Makes the front end look a bit better than orange lights(Had a good excuse to fit clear fronts as 1 indicator was cracked and letting in water).Oh and see my name plate is now in the van.and my little boy who loves going out in the van..

The remains of the prop bearing.
Image
Someone had also filled the gaps with Black silicone to disguise the broken rubber on its last mot..
Van goes much better now as well..

And a bit of smoke when floored if only about 3/4 throttle its ok below 2500rpm but once above that then floor it and it really shifts now.

Looks like the pillar carpet has the hole for the 'step lamp', they are still available from Fords, you going to fit one?

I got 3 of them lamps as passenger side also lights up sliding door, but the metal bit needs drilling to size first as there is no hole drilled in the metal pillar for the step light..had to refit the seats and bits as we was going away on hoiliday in the van next day and didnt have a hole cutter to hand..already run wires to light them up when door is open.fitted the interior light which has map reading lights in them.

I think they are really cool mate, got nice bright white led's in mine, got four in the roof lining as it is a GLX!
But, there is NOT one in the driver's step :(
Going to fit one in the driver's step while I have the carpet and step trim out for welding!
Did you get the yellow relay for the delay light function?

The delay relay I fitted, mine was missing when I got the van, came from another Ford of the same sort of age, can't remember what model, but there should be a good supply at most scrap yards, tall yellow one!

So, does your's have the hole in the driver's side pillar cover? Perhaps it is an option, so mine might just have the hole below the cover ready for fitment 8)

Alloys fitted...looking smart now..
Image
14" alloys off a tourneo..would of liked bigger wheels but cant be fussy when they come along at a good deal..and the tyres on 2 are ok and 2 very good 1 is flat from a split in the sidewall(but no probs as old steels are 14" same size tyre(184x14) and i had 2 good tyres on them which will go on these alloys at the weekend.
