I don't think that would be too good an idea as he's putting a V8 in it (the camper)

I LOVE that. it also looks kinda cool as it stands now, in a kind of distressed way, but mainly as this is how I remember them looking back in the early 80s. good luck with it

Not had a chance to do anything much to the van as yet, but I am in the process of ordering all the repair panels this week. Should be enough space in the bodyshop to get it started in a couple of weeks too.

I have had the driver's seat base re-upholstered, and that looks great. Been collecting a few NOS parts off the bay as well. Struggling to find rear bumpers so far though. Not much needed to find now, apart from time and money.

I had similar with my 400e dropside, ran then stopped. Although that is he 1703 Consul engine, they are similar in being idle (mine 35 years!)
Things I found so far are due to drying out of things, such as the accelerator pump piston on the carb stuck. The starter motor brushes stuck, so it started a dozen times then wouldn't. Removed, cleaned ,replaced, now fine.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Yeah, I posted that yesterday

Ordered all the panels this morning. Should be here in about a week or so, cos the front wings have to come from Holland or Germany, or somewhere like that. May have found a source for new rear bumpers too, but no price yet.
