Hi thanks everyone, your giving me the motivation i need to get this thing finished, just one last push now and hopefully she will be ready for summer. ive thought about giving up a few times especially with the welding and just trying to find a van in better condition but i had to have a mk5 as i brew my own biodiesel and didnt want any electronic gear on the engine to go wrong. the carpet is a product called veltrim its nice to work with follows curves well and not too expensive. i got it from a place in cleckheaton www.harrisonstrimsupplies.co.uk that sells stuff mainly for camper conversions. good prices and helpfull . oh and if anyone local needs any welding doing let me know as i could do to make this hobby pay a little :D

thanks everyone! ill keep adding pics as i go

Well the carpet is not onto the van walls not sure if you knew you cut ply pieces and then line those folding the edges behind the back and refit the panels

All I can say is just keep going. take a hammer and bash it all over underneath to find all the rust . You'll only end up doing it anyway
