Just found some pictures of the loom I made for the halo/spot lamps for the bumper, so Ive posted them here just to keep everything together.

Ive not even looked at the van for a couple of months and theres loads to do, still need to rebuild the A4LD gearbox on a budget, which has been under a tarpaulin for nearly two years and get that fitted and that means making new engine mounts and paint the bay at the same time. I haven't finished painting underneath and waxoil the chassis is due and to top it off, the best insurance deal I could get was £375, gone up £25 with 6 years NCB  And Im thinking a new paint job after fordboynick tweaked my interest.

Oh well its only money

Nick is now working for a restoration firm 6-7 days a week :? They are building a new booth soon and Im hoping to get in there later this year, Nick showed me some paint and has conviced me I need it

Yes, must get on top of the gearbox, might have to have a chat with AndyG, as for fuel savings, might get a few extra miles on a run

The only thing that wont go in, Transit wise, is a high top... Last time I went over there, he was working on a MG shell and occasionally a SVO Transit MK3 beavertail, not at the same time thou

Ill try and get over there soon, its got a Ford extended chassis, doesn't look much, but its having new wings, arches, sills etc. and finally a paint job. Its going to be used for a race support/transport for the company he's working for.

Took the van out today for the first time since about Christmas, after sorting some insurance... Started the van up and it was making one hell of a screetching noise   looked around under the bonnet and couldnt see anything wrong, got down and looked under the bumper noticed the starter motor was hanging down at a funny angle.... One bolt missing the other, halfway out. Managed to find a spare bolt in the shed, but the cross-member and manifolds where in the way, so a few extention bars together and a cold bum later, I was on the road 8)
Chucked in 20 quids worth of superUL, how feckin much and took her for a plag up da county, to clear the cobwebs out. A bit of overtaking, which is a bit of a supprise to some people and sadly, all too soon the fuel was running out :( worked out 20mpg even with all the hard driving which I quite plaesed about... sort off! Really have to get the A4LD box sorted, this ones too rev'y. Its just started snowing here, so I could be out sideways tomorrow

I should be doing other things, but I'm in the warm and not in a frozen shed. Must of had 10cm of snow overnight

Picked up a new toy for the van, not sure exactly what I want to fit in it yet, dials, switches, a bit of both, although none of the switches I have fit :( Seems to be several configurations of these front panels, with metal plates that screw on the front. Blimey, even more wiring behind the dash
