I was unaware that the heated screens were so expensive, was considering one for mine!

I'll ring a pal of mine that we use for screens in the morning, not sure if he goes north of the river but at least he likes 'Pictures of the Queen'.

Even if I can find a secondhand plain screen, I can make North Weald, but the welding cant start until I have one and then I have to refit dash in time

AlanN wrote:Spent all yesterday evening and all today in the van rewiring & tidying up the mess behind the dash, ripped out a good stack of old wire from previous owners, I'm not far off finishing, another day should sort it all. On the plus side, I think I've now found the fault with the fuel pump being immobilised by the alarm, the pump has been making a fair bit of noise over the last 6 months, so I checked the amps and it went off my meter at 12A  meter leads started heat up and I noticed the alarm loop circuit had started to melt, but thats all been cut out now ready for the new pump. So next weekend, its just: finish the wiring, replace heater matrix and fuel pump  Thanks to Muttley for the nearly new pump and transitjono for getting it down to me.

Picked up some more zinc plating I had done last week, not had a chance to fit any of it yet, but really pleased with it all, even thou there are few etching marks from the acid dip

Wow, tired me out just reading what you've been up to. Gonna have to have a go at those rear lights on my mk6, they look great.
