6471mc appears to be a belt for models with power steering. I am convinced I need the 4PK1520 now.

Well well well.

Just got the van home, complete with MOT Pass.

All in all cost me 340 to have the rear cross member welded up, rear arches 'touched up', new brake pads and discs at the front, clean up of areas near the shocker tops, clean up of the brake lines, included the cost of the MOT.

Was advised not to bother about the oil leak on the rear axle, just to get the correct oil, top it up, and wipe down the area and see if it comes back.

So, I will be taxing it tomorrow and will be bringing it along to the Transit meet on Sunday. See you there......

just changing the fuel filter over but running into problems...

i cant get the water sensor off the bottom!!!

It is yellow with a black part which looks like the screw that holds it in, this is locked by a bit of the yellow section.

any idea the correct way to get these off? almost breaking it and no joy. :(

also, lost all the fuel out of it, will this be a problem when i put the new one on dry?

tia...

Yes, I was a bit hung over this morning!

I managed to work it out on my own in the end, very simple, push in the metal clip on the wiring bracket to disengage it from the sensor unit. Unscrew the whole sensor unit and the seal.

Unfortunately due to the weather, I only managed to change the fuel filter and the air filter.

Also, the bonnet saftey catch release arm broke and we had to take the front to bits to get into the engine compartment! Spliced it up for now with a bit of wire....

Hopefully get the oil done, one evening in the week when the weather is better.

Sometimes it is one problem after another. You'll get there in the end. Eventually.

£1 not a bad price. It was a big project. Well done for trying though.
