all I did to my van yesterday was cut down the new rear arch as I am only going to fit what I need to, I think blending in will be easier the way I have cut it too!

I was in the middle of doing that when my mate popped in as he wanted me to help him make a bed that was removable so he still had the use of his van so I came up with this idea for him











when folded up to the side there is a nifty little cupbourd between the arch and bulkhead, just a hinge or two for him to do now on the legs and then it'll be a really handy store away bed for the price of a sheet of mdf and some battern and screws!, I found the main hinges in my shed!!
might do something similar in mine now I have used his as a tester!!! oh sh*t I have just realised I needen those hinges!!! :angry:

after all that work the dumb ass went and did this today

that will fix up fine..just wop a load of filler in....like the doors i repaired the other day

been busy grindin and filling kevs new doors, and a few coats of paint they are looking good, just a bit more paint to do and wait for the new mirrored windows to arrive
started to strip the plastic coating off my rear step bumper that I purchased from another member,, not much left of it now!!!! this was not fords best idea! I think if i can fix it I will not be re plasicing it!!!

been spending a few days on kevs van, I know this is supposed to be about my vans progress but I just had to show you all what we have made from a bashed up old van,

I also gave him my clear rear lights I hadn't fitted yet and I even let him pinch my front ones as the orange ones looked awful on a white van, rebuilt the bottoms of the new rear doors he bought which looked solid but once ground down needed quite some filling etc, re sprayed the doors in white hammerite to try and stop any rusting and also did rear bumper and end caps, but the mirror glass in the back doors also looks so cool, 32 quid off ebay worth the wait I think!
we had our own little mini transit mania!!

now mine is back in the shed hopefully I can get some more done soon!

The weather improved enough to tackle my final corner today, finally I had a free few hours so I got an early start and started chopping out the rust




I chopped all the rust out and ground it all down with a wire brush before coating the whole lot in waxoil including the back of my newly made panel which I had already hammerited,,, Hopefully this will hold the dreaded rust away for a long time,
then I got the welder out after riviting the panel in place

ground down the welds and slapped on the first coat of filler


this also gives me a chance to sort out the large scratches and dent I had in the side hense the extended filler!!
hopefully I might get a bit more done tomorrow, will keep you posted

Well I managed to get my rear wing finished, had a bit of a disaster with paints not liking eachother but got there in the end, I also did my sliding door but I didn't get the dents out I just de-rusted it and gave it some paint so I can sort that at a later date, had to get it done as kev was being impatient and wanted me to get his in thursday
Got my van out thursday after a night under cover to cure off, then we got kevs van in,,, and I'm so upset now because his looks better than mine now we have done this,,, wow what a transformation

I found 3 hubcaps too which make it look better on one side lol


then we made him a little rear step out of part of my old bumper,

Now I am stripping welding and painting my new rear step bumper for my van now that I have my shed back
