Had time for a bit of a fiddle today, found that the carb base was loose, the water pump was loose, the carb manifold was loose...ran a lot better once they were all tightened...only the oil leak and clutch cable to fix now! :)

Tee hee, took an hour and a half to release the old exhaust clip with heat gun, wd and a monkey spanner, oh and a hammer. Exhaust stocking and tin plate over the joint and the hole and then bolted back together. Exhaust quiet, even though the back box is from a nissan!!! And all doned before it rained too hard, although i do have wet shins!

And one for Keef, the old mirror arm was popped out of the socket and fitted perfectly into the existing mount. The back screw on puks original was seized and i had no idea that it had to be unscrewed to rest on the windscreen to stop further vibration! So hedgehog in place and unscrewed, a good day :) oil leak revisit due friday, heres to hoping, but he has got much more than he ever had. Reckon he ran for a year without any (sorry puk)...

Mvm also did really well with the steering last time but we hit the pothole to hell last week and cacked it up again! So its all wobbly and noisy again. Clutch cable is on the list now though as has stretched and become very very rattlely...reckon thats from a viva, getting to know the last owners ways now! :)

Hi beam workin :) was right in my head though, someone had removed the original ford connector and replaced with a solid rubber one...hour with the crimpers was fun! But the £5 tk max wire strippers still holding up! Much safer on the dark bicknacre moors, thanks CE, just need to understand window winder now :)

Hi J.C.
The pleasure is all mine.
Next time we meet up maybe somewhere on the M25 at the
semaphore tower opposite wisley gardens on the A3 it should
be a lot easier for you to get to.
There is a good place for food a bit like the last place at New
lands Corner.
Had a Great time meeting you & Mutley & Debbie I really
enjoyed myself & so did the Wife.
Your camper looks great in the flesh good luck with the oil
leak,
catch up with you all soon i hope.
Best wishes to all.
