sorry Ron, been mad busy. Well the van is on the road, got the MOT, Tax, prop shaft bearing, done Monday day, and worked on putting the seats back in till 10pm Monday night, then made the 213 mile trip to Heathrow to pick up the family all 7 of them. So the van has worked hard, altogether I've done about 1000 miles in the van
since last Monday. And i haven't really had any real problems......except it doesn't like hills, if you don't get the speed up before you get to the hill, it struggles to get up them. i don't know what the problem is yet, could need a replacement engine, but could be something simple. when i stopped at the services today on the way back from Heathrow, i checked the fluids, and noticed a diesel leak on the engine, which looks like its coming from the pump. It wasn't much of a leak, but it could have something to do with the loss of power.

i'm not to worried about the loss of power for now, as i'm not going to be doing a lot of motorway driving, but i'm going to try and sort it if i can :?

Mine drives great around town & cruises nice @ 65-70 on the motorway but as soon as a long hill approaches it drops to about 60
seems to be just the way these minibuses are, my engine is only 76 horsepower so don't expect to much from it.
Would love to drop a 130hp engine in, but I think my insurance company would too

been meaning to get these posted for a bit but just been so busy.

seats are all in now and i used the van to pick up the family and drive them around while they were here from Canada on holiday.

next job is to take all the interior back out and clean the floor and paint it, and put some sound deadening on it :?

mine was worse then that on the hills, at one point i was at about 45 going up hill, but then again i was only doing 60 on approach. i have since adjusted the clutch and i think it has made a difference, but that could just be wishful thinking lol. bloody insurance companies don't let us have any fun

i would like to put the Essex v6 in and run it on lpg if poss, but that will have to wait some time down the road

Thanks Tim, the vans getting there, i still have the arches, sills, 1 wing, and repair the bottom of the tailgate to do. After all that is done i'll move on to the engine next if all goes well. But the engine swap is not something i can do myself. How much would you charge to do the swap? i realize your a way down south, but your work is worth the drive 8)

Worth asking your insurance company. I have recently insured my 76 HP van and told them I would be replacing the engine this year with
a turbo version of the same Di engine. They said that providing the engine capacity was the same it wouldn't be a problem.,
