Still awaiting this leccy pas pump... free postage so it'll prob take ages...

Actually quite excited to see how much power it can produce as technically it came off a small ish car... still i only need some assistance dont necessarily need full Di pas just a bit more help than none at all.. plus if i can keep the extra free'd up horses itll be a result!

was thinking on the wiring... i selected the particlar pas pump because it looks to only have 2 wires and so would be constant runner with engine on. that means it wont overheat or owt.
secondly i can either have a switched relay feed to it so i dont flatten battery in traffic if cooling fans kick in too and also it dont need to be on all the time especially if going in a straight line like motorways or drag strip!
could even add a few diodes and take feeds from reverse lights and indicators (via capacitors) to turn it on automatically... still more to go wrong tho!! :(

need to see Tim to get my new panels soon too, will have a go at fitting em meself in our new house, can put the huge gazeebo from transitmania up as the gardens so big!!! :D

Im sure with a little bit of thought you could make a device that will cut out the PAS above say 20mph? Not sure how off the top of my head but im sure someone can think of something?

i have a speed related pinto mod i haven't got round to

was thinking tiny dc model motor with aeroplane prop under crossmember...

output through variable resistor to base of transistor then to relay and back emf diode

 you could smooth it with capacitor so it wasn't jumping on and off at set threshold

or better still a throttle postion sensor basterdised from a focus or bmw be good, or a linear potentiometer attached to throttle cable...

a switch will suffice me, might bling it up with an illuminated one
better still, get into dash and use abs light or another unused one! :D :D

well still not yet with them in the van... defo not with blowing exhaust too... still got other side to do yet...

and how is it dangerous to put in a leccy pas pump when the factory one dont work?

if i wasnt bothered bout my lil un and wife we would have been out and about in van as it is, yet its been parked up for over 6 or more weeks!
