Bonnets hardly any rust but a few dents in difficult places so don't think I'll be using it.

Tipper body is also a bit passed its best although the alloy sides are good and the ram and pump work ok

looks like it is in pretty good nick,is it anywhere near being ready yet? we have had 4 mk 3 4x4s in our time, got rid of the last mk 3 about 4 years ago, and really wish we hadnt, we even had a swb mk 2 4x4, about 7 years ago(black one), we sold it local and it is still going around today, and he will not part with it..oh the things we do in haste!, we have a mk2 transit thats not 4x4 but thats having and engine conversion done, though on hold while hubby is away, but we really want a 4x4 again, and it will be for keeps, i cant believe how hard it has been to find one, and people asking stupid money for scrappers!!
oh well,i am sure we will get 1 one day :0

just remembered, we did have a scrapper a couple of years ago, but it really was beyond repair, so we used it for what they do best...off roading, we like to go off roading, my hubby has built many an off roader, but the 4x4 transit was something else, and it put all of the kitted up landrovers to shame, pulling most of them out of the s!!t! and up hills they couldnt get up!!

Its coming on slowly :)

I get a few hours at it every week but thats about it just now.

I'm getting the driveway and front chipped shortly so once I get some space it will be coming to the house where I can spend some more time on it.

8 months since my last post! :D

Haven't done much to it at all over the winter months but it does now has a lot of nice shiny new bits thanks to my MK3 bus which has sadly departed this earth.

bonnet, both front doors, side loading door with window, dash, rubber mat, headlining, side windows (still to fit)

It still gets a good drive around, in fact it spent a few hours yesterday driving around the woods :D

It should however be arriving in my workshop within the next few weeks to get some real work done on it, the light nights are back! :D

Had a good weekend at the County project! :D

Its over a year since I bought the tipper donor and this weekend it finally was put to rest.

I now have almost a complete set of spare running gear, axles, engine and gearbox, transfer box, wheels etc (prop and rear springs are different) as well as all the interior, dash etc.

managed to sell the rear tipper body and ram and get £100 scrap on the rest of it :D

Planning on tidying up this set of wheels and sticking a set of aggressive offroad tyres on them which I can alternate with the road tyres on the other set of wheels as needed.

both axles are in good condition as are discs (hardly used) and callipers so i'm pleased with what i've ended up with (it cost me £500 and i've made £250 back off it)

Have started tidying up the bodywork on the project and have the dash completely stripped out for cleaning and a few small repairs. (its still running)

The light nights are making a difference :D

its quite a good idea to have a spare set of running gear i think, as if somthing goes wrong you would h ave a bit of trouble finding an axle or somthing

Yeah that was my idea, its got the same 5.8 ratio axles as mine plus I really wanted a spare set of wheels to stick some off road tyres on
