Now for the next part J.C. when i originally fitted the vivaro door mirrors
to Eve i made the spacers out of wood ?. over the years the wood deteiriated,
so a friend of mine made some out of solid alluminium blocks, that was about
five years ago so i have just got round to machining them to replace the wood
en ones it took a week believe it
DSCN3891.JPG
or not to do them because they were so heavy
i decided to machine big holes in them to make then lighter, here is hopefully
if i can find the pics of them the offending articles.

I think i am trying to rush it too much, i forgot to tell you as i have done
so much to Eve lately, i have connected heavy copper jump leads from
the cabin battery to the main nearside battery via a boat changeover switch,
on the way back from Brooklands i stopped for fuel & when i went to start it
the battery was flat ? it had obviously died, so i switched over to the auxilary
battery & away we went, i replaced the battery this morning with a varta one,
i also flushed the engine & refilled it with synthetic oil with an additive which
made me very happy & obviously with a new oil filter, will keep you posted
with pictures now that i know how to do them,
begards to all. Raymondo.

Raymondo, they look great, I’m afraid it’s still my favourite camper (said very quietly as Ralphie gave puk a new exhaust so puk spat it off at the weekend...ungrateful get) are you still employing the starter handle or have you found a way to start in the dry now?

The changeover switch is located in the passenger footwell fairly high
up, so as not to interfere with the passenger's feet, the starting handle
is a dire straights back up now that i can connect the auxilary battery
by the turn of a knob, the swith also acts as an isolator when the van
is sitting for long periods as it has done since we moved,
will keep you posted best regards Ray.

Here is the boat isolator/changeover switch, so you can use one or the
other batteries or both together or isolate both batteries.
