Stick one of the cheap valve lube kits on it or use an additive to save the valves and just enjoy the ride.

Had a look and like the idea of the lube kit as it takes some of the guesswork out, has anyone ever used one? Is the liquid they sell with it the right stuff and can you tee in or do you have to drill a hole into the carb?

Probably plenty of rwd accessories for when they are fitted to mk1/2 escorts. They can run on carbs too

I love you guys so much!

The pinto bottom end is non negotiable, sorry. Looking out for good injection head to redo and very interested in the line kit...hate the dosing through a tank thing, too much trial and error for me :)

Just stick a dirty great v8 from an old yank with points ignition & a carb.
Hi Chaps sorry it's been so long since i contacted you but i have had so
much to do over the last eighteen months since we moved down south.
I have missed you all very much & when i have finished all the work i
have got to finish i will probably be to old to drive "hopefully not"
I took eve to an m o t station down here & she failed on things i new
about. The headlight main beam warning light & rear fog warning light
did not work so i fitted l e d lights blue & red respecktively.
Hope to catch up with you in the near future love to all Raymondo.

I've got a vacuum based drip feed one (that I never got round to fitting) and the other halfs car runs a posh electronic one.
Given your luck with things i would go for the electronic one as theres less chance of it randomly dumping its contents into the inlet manifold while the engine is turned off just to be awkward.
Couple of links
Posh one

Cheap one

and

The valve saver fluid is about £17 a litre, i think we go through about 2l every 10,000 miles with the Lexus

CE! So good to hear you're still about, the one meet we managed still pops out a piccy every so often!! Hope the mot goes well and I'm sure you'll be driving for a while yet, afraid that starting handle alone frightens me so no v8 for me!! :)

Thanks ever so dodge, hope you're wrong as I went for an lpg shop one from e bay, no electric but gravity...I have a spare pipe connector on the same tree as the brake servo, is it okay to use that for the incoming? That would put the tank in a good place too. I think I'll be lucky to get 2 l to 10000!! :)

Just have a good read of the instructions :) if it's the same as mine they are pretty simple to set up, they use manifold vacuum to regulate the flow of valvesaver.

Unless we have some unexpectedly strong gravity there isn't too much to go wrong

It shouldn't be pinking, retard the ignition timing before it eats it self again
