"NEW" TRUCK BUILD ON PAGE 13 125BHP 02 REG TRANSIT

Postby mk5 transit recovery » Sun Feb 18, 2007 3:07 pm

just brought another transit 2 build a recovery truck.

ive got the project, its a mk5 transit 1998 s reg lwb pick up with the chassis extension on.

reasons 4 buying are:

s reg (nice respectable year)
mint chassis
its got rusty wings & arches so it was cheapish
& its red (i allways fancied a red 1)

i wanted 1 with rusty wings & arches so i could fit new 1's & know they have been done proper rather then buying a clean looking one & finding out in a few months its fuller filler when it bursts out & looks a mess!

here is some pics of the old girl:

ive given the inside a good clean & then dropside body is now on ebay (£100 baragain), next is to attach the wings & arches & fit new ones, do abit of prep work & then make the body.

after all thats done it will be fully repainted & colour coded & the new body either painted or galvernised & fitted then she's off 2 work! 8)
