Hi Martyn, haven't seen any updates recently, how's Agent doing :?:

Just been reading through the thread again and it's one hell of a project :!: Looks really good too 8)

Do you think 6 speed would be a good mod for a 2.4 with the 3.73 diff ? Been thinking about doing it when I get around to doing my slave cylinder/clutch job which is getting closer.

Did Propshaft Services make the new prop up for you using your new flange or did you go somewhere else :?:

Hi Man :)

Not done anything apart from fine tuning the engine , just driving & enjoying.. not even practised drag racing starts LOL - North Weald Racing Sunday is counting down so time to get my butt in gear..

I have just bought a fat intercooler & was given some ST Recaro's though... might get the seats fitted this month..

So the current to do list =

Fit Seats
Get Roof wrapped black / silver
Fit Intercooler

The 6 speed will work.. top gear ratio on 5 & 6 speed RWD boxes are the same or pretty much the same.. so in theory you will have a better spread of ratios on the way to the top one... on my 1st is useless however so I only still use 5 !

I'll Use the iveco daily suspension seat base if my back plays up. Gonna try it without 1st though;)

On the prop. Yes prop services modded the existing one for me. Added that flange which came from their parent company anyway.

Cool seats man 8)

Looked for some of those myself, but they're mega expensive and like proverbial rocking horse poo

Ended up getting a driver's seat from an AA van, heated and pump up for my back, and putting my existing seat on passenger side. got some black covers for them and a heated kit for the passenger one, still to fit that though.

Thanks for the gearbox info, will definitely look into that further. As long as the prop is the only mod needed I'll probably do it.

No problem , only other mod was the speed sensor wiring at back of gearbox needed extending - 5 minute job. And I needed the 6 speed gear change cables and stick assembly but that was plug & play.

I saw a set of cloth ST seats go for 150 locally on eBay so they do come up at a decent price occasionally . :-)

One down & one to go

The ST Seats runners lines up perfectly with a single drivers MK7 seat base once some "feet " were cut off - 4 little bridge welds & its feeling solid - I'm so lucky  :D

I got all the minor scratches out with a heart gun but main one was stubborn so the vantuner sticker covers that, for now least ...............
The outer cloth on seide bolster is crumpled but the seats were free so loving them despite that.. plus they are still wet from Henries shampooing....

Copperslipped the outer recess channel as rust had returned despite hammeriting it last year,,

Nothing too it Man , I
Didn't actually do it cause my mate is a wizard and its a pleasure to watch him weld but it was so simple to mate them to a standard base that I'd happily do it for you if you ever find a cheap set of seats :-)
