Well thought I would start one.

A few jobs are needed to be done.
Passed it's MOT begining of feb.
I put clear indicators no, but one got broke

So with the help of MarkM I hane now smoked ones!!

Plus me gear knob!

And then me dvd player,

And camera,

There's a bit of welding to be done at the back, well quite a bit really!!
A gearbox and clutch to fit, e-bay wonders, £40 for the box and £34.99 for the clutch.
Then paint it all Diamond white, stone chip stuff at the bottom.
And the old Waxoyl underneath.
Not sure about the wheel extensions on the back, leave as is or white 'em,
Image
Oh, and get some wheel covers for the front, paint the wheels silver or black.
Again not sure.
And fit me invertor. 2000watt beastie!
Almost forgot, fitted a K&N panel filter in, a bit of a difference, and not noisy either!
Did the torque pump tweak and blocked off EGR valve.

Do you have a lift at the back or why is the license plate so high?

Went to fit me gearbox on sat, with anew clutch.
Started it outside a mates garage at 9.20am, aftre the bacon butty and brew.
By 10.30 the old box was off.
Checked the clutch, completly fooked!
Went to check sizes of clutches, the new one was smaller by a lot!!!
Then it started,
" Could be special order that Matt. " Says Pete.
Great I thougt.
Turns out, it's an uprated version of an uprated one!!!!!
Specifically fot a V6 petrol Ambie!!! Mk3.
No-one stocks them, so hopefully have one on Mon morn!
So, then the oil got drained from both boxes, fresh one had black in, mine had copper oil.
Goosed box!!!! Syncros gone.
What a relief,
Peter said, " How did you drive it like that, no wonder you had trouble with it!! "
" Only had probs with selecting first ".
So, hopefully will get it sorted tomorrow!

Must be a SVO clutch

Make sure you put in the correct oil in your gearbox  :!: It specifically is "MT75" oil  Even Halfrauds do it :!:
Some put in ATF  It's claimed to be the same :?

Well, timing belt snapped on tuesday!!
Bent all eight pushrods, and snapped a rocker arm.
Put a new timing kit on, including new tensioner, timed it up, ran a bit poo-like!
Got it on the drive and tried to sort it on wednesday.
Bugger, lost three valve bucket top things!
Got some more from Ford.
Fitted them, still couldn't get it running!
Called my mechanic mate, he called on thursday afternoon, I only managed to time it up all wrong!!!
Finally sorted it late thursday!!!
Then, throttle cable sticking!!
spoke to Pete the mechanic today, he's ordered one from ord, hopefully arrive tomorrow.
All being well, should have it sorted tomorrow!!!!
Doing me head in. At one one point a was all for selling it and getting an Escort turbo deisel van!!!
Luckily, I saw the light again!!!!
