Thats a '95 or earlier pump

The solenoid on the side is for advancing the timing for cold starts.

It will work fine, but you may not be able to advance it enough on the slots (meaning you need to pull the boss off, rotate it a bit and put it back).

Smallest of updates...

Finally picked up my donor 1996 chassis cab and thankfully it has a 100Ps engine with only 47K, also has a wide ratio MT75. It was parked outside all its life on wet grass and just rotted through....Hence the low mileage and early 'end'...Picked up a Bosch 145 Pump from a 2000 van...

Put a fresh battery in it and fired up straight away, it goes well...

The chassis cab has a 5.14 rear axle, not sure would I be better off going for a 4.63 Diff.

Would like the 4.63 diff for cruising, but also want the ability to tow the Capri....

That should be a dsa1096 pump. If the price was right I would buy it as a spare for my van. I haven't heard of a faulty ECU.

£200 :o one of those dealer specials surely??? Last one on the planet perhaps... I suppose compared to the price of a bosch pump + bits + time to find all the gubbins + the mechanic to fit.. that kinda price can be justified I suppose... Personally I would be spending the money on the bosch pump etc and not having the worry of does the accelerator decide not to function one day...

Minormatt... I have two of them, todays your lucky day ha ha...

I presume I'm only dreaming to think that I could find a LSD for my Mk5 twin wheel axle.... Also on the look out for a 4.63 crown wheel & Pinion.

Thanks

LSDs are out there... but not common

I have one sat on my shelf which was on my last van - I just haven't transferred it to the current one yet

No thanks... I need the LSD to help me get out of muddy fields...

Once I have got it back its one of the 1st things to be swapped/re-fitted from my old van

Haven't had any time to get at my van, been busy getting my Capri's ready for summer.

Anyway, got myself a Bosch '145' pump

Image

Picked up a Mk5 Axle from a 115Ps Ambulance, was hoping for an LSD but no Joy... It has a 4.63 Ratio though...

Image

Image

Also picked up the Intercooler/pipe work and radiator while I was at it...

Must just find the time to get some work done on it now...
