Mk1 Ute Ratrod Transit - 2017 Jan Update

Postby towtnz » Tue Jan 03, 2017 3:48 am

So,
Going to remove the fire wall, build a new one later.
Streeeech the front guards & bonnet around the motor, so space framing the front now
to sit the body on. So just the outside skin, new inner guards making room for servcing,
turbos, intercoolers, radiator might even make it up front too.

Currently hunting for a drivers door latch as mine wont hold the door closed at all :(

So winter is apon us hear back in Taupo.

The fire wall has had 2 more chops
to it. The 3.8 Buick V6 and box are in just, using it as a
mock up at this stage. Will be picking up a whole parts
car to make it faster and over all easyer. Looking at gutting
the dash in full. Have some plans in the head. Haven't
picked a spot to stretch the Ute yet but it's fast approaching.
As always thanks for looking in and leaving your feedback.
More photos to come as I've left a blank due to the love
of moving towns and chasing work.

Update on Notrod's Running Gear

Postby towtnz » Sat Oct 28, 2017 10:17 am

So life i still orsum and wrk has kept me away from the ute. Have discovered that the Personalized number plate Notrod has also been bought in the last 9 months by someone else,     Guttered. Still It will be Called Notrod.

The V6 is also being scraped for a Holden 5l V8. Currently selling off the 2 extra cars, xr6 flcon and 2.0L Edix yay fun, nothing like have 2 extra cars in the small drive way / no yard, with no shed at the house too, woop woop.

so picking up a complete standard car to take all the bits for Notrod to make it turn key and Raaaaaaw.

Slow and steady is pissing me off so its balls to the wall n get her done.

back soon

Thanks for leaving ya input too
