the van is now painted and home, after spending a few hours on the road over the weekend.

the new colour is so much better i think being closer to the original red/burnt orange rather than the last colour it was resprayed which was a bit too orange imo.

few pics after getting the rig home!!
More pics needed up to date please!
I got her out in the sun yesterday for a few pics.

I haven't started reassembly yet as im sheeting up a bit of a shed that the van will live in from now on when not in use.

im hoping it will help her to survive a bit longer this time after all the work that went into her.

this is my "chair" for the moment for moving her around!!!

ahh be careful with that chair, mate of mine did the same thing with a milkcrate in a freshly bare metal resprayed mk2 escort, he fell off the crate and stuffed it into a lorry in the yard, oopppss
looks awesome in the sun 8)

time for a long overdue update on this one lads!!!

well shes on the home straight now......i making the final push to get her back together and on the road.

Image

got the rest of the reversing camera setup fitted and working....very happy with it.

the mirror with built in monitor fits over my original mirror. would barely know its any different from original!!

i ran the wee cable from it in behind the interior light,...sweet job and it ill save the rear number plate when reversing into the trailer!!
:D

Image

and the best part is that the whole setup cost about 50 quid off ebay!!!

Image

treated her to a new ball hitch!!

Image

and nos reflectors

Image

also got the dash fitted back up along with the floor mat and cab trim.

Image

Image

next job is to get the rear of the van plylined after all the previous rust areas get dosed with a good coat of grease!!

Image

next update soon!

That's one smart looking van you have there, I like the built in toolbox.
