the dealer has just called me.

ECU update done, I hope this will improve a little the engine performances
Spare Key done, so now I have 2 keys
General check done, I need to change rear brake pads but in Ford costs about 170€, so I find in ebay fron and rear pads (EBC black) for 70€, then I will go to my usual workshop to install the back ones, the front I will do myself.

I will update about how it runs now...stay tuned

after a travel of 400km I can say that "at the moment" the new rubber screws to avoid rattling in the sliding doors works fine.

I will inform ASAP if still working well

about the ECU update nothing has changed... :?

yesterday I unmounted the tailgate door panel to replace many locking pins broken.
at the same time i filled the inside of the tailgate with sponge in order to have a quiter sound when I close...now it's much better.

than I saw that some plastic bracket for pins I already bond previously, were detached again, so that solution has not solve that problem, I decided to fix every bracket with screws, not good to see but effective.

bye

yesterday evening I fitted the 2 leather gaiters for handbrake and gear.

in July I added the HUD display to be used for the real GPS speed during our long journey in europe

Image

and also I covered the rubber part behind the steering wheel to avoid (or minimize) light reflections on the dash screen

sunday morning my engine give up !

now it is in Ford workshop for investigation (remove the engine from the chassis and dismantle it to check what's happened.

at the moment what they told me is that the 2nd cylinder have not compression, this could be because the piston...or because the valves...or both...bla bla bla.

expense prediction:

better case: around 2000€
wors case: around 7000€ (totally swap the engine with one refurbished from Ford

thursday I will know

PS: tha van was for selling on internet because I decided to downsize vs. a VW Caddy (already lock with 1000€ a couple of week ago)
this is real an unlucky situation...I'm really frustrated
