Booked it into Ford on Monday.

any news?
Had a rusty old 58 plate 85 ps swb.180 thou .most reliable bus ive ever had

12 plate limited 125bhp 260 that got nicked :shock: :shock:

Not yet, took it in today, I told them it was knocking about 1800 rpm etc but they've not got back to me yet, off work this week so as long as it is done by weekend i don't mind.

Are they busy and haven't looked at it or just don't know what's wrong so going to change parts till its not a woodpecker anymore. N

No idea, they made me sign a form saying i promise to pay....... I said to them DO NOT DO ANYTHING until you call me and let me know if it isn't a warranty item and i have to pay.

They said OK, but no news is good news isn't it?

I believe that's the saying 'no news is good news' so what you driving while they have red, do they wash the van after they have finished the work. N

I ran the 15 miles home :lol:

Got my legs for transport, i can get lifts off the mrs if i need them but it's all good.

I don't know what will happen with the van, I'm really not bothered except that they evict woody, i can do the rest.

I'm hoping that diagnostics and custom flight recorder and inside info on possible tsb etc is all it needs, they might identify an injector or some other non standard fault in the engine.

I have checked quite thoroughly and not fort to the pointy of finding the fault without removing parts of the engine, since it has only done about 6800 miles i felt that it should be sent to Ford under warranty.

You should have written on the form that approval needed to be sought before any non warantee work is undertaken...

The apprentice moved it and pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and it's not looking good, new genuine parts are being used though and they have plenty spot weld drill bits :o
