Ive fitted a 12" fan to the rad (instead of the 8") so should now be more than man enough to keep her cool 8)

Also had a main water hose burst while driving up sheffield parkway next to the water pump, was a t##t to get to but thankfully no serious damage done

Ive also started to make the pannel thats missing from the bottom/front of the middle row seats, im incorporating some usb, 12v power sockets and a pop out cup holder for the young uns. Just needs carpeting when it's finished.

Lots of little teething/snagging problems but we're getting there
Sorry no pics just a couple I took on my way home Saturday

needs a slap with the lowering stick, looks a bit high in those pics, maybe its how u took them, but then slammed vans are no good as dailys, ask me how I know

Yeh I have got plans to drop the front a little but the rear is as low as I can realisticly go without It becoming un usable as with just the wheelchair in the back and a bit too much speed off a speed bump the rears still rub due to the width! :(

I lowered the rear by about 30mm by removing the bottom thick leaf from the springs, I suppose its a double edged sword as its made it a little softer on the rear but on the plus its lowered it a little, maybe custom decambered springs will be on the shopping list in a few years

Thanks robbie, Its the same size as the standard jag throtle body except thats fly by wire so I was unable to keep it :(

It was an ebay buy advertised for a 4.6 mustang after I had read a post on ford talk (i think?) saying that they fit the standard mondeo st220 inlet, which i know is the same as the mondeo 2.5, which is what i have fitted atm :P

Its hopefully an improvement to what I think is a weak link/restriction to the inlet......watch this space

Will be watching it closely!
Wondering if duct can be too big or small too as mine has standard inlet less resonator and after maf to filter the pipe is like 3 x wider than from maf to throttle plate. Could that affect flow i wonder?

Well not had chance to fit the throtle body yet but I did pick up a complete mk3 axle with a 4.11 diff so I now have spare half shafts/casing/brake parts etc, its not fitted yet bit looks like I'm going to have a busy weekend! 8)

I also ordered a new rev counter as im not 100% sure the dash counter is bang on accurate and plus being the diesel clocks it only goes to 6k so does go off the end!!
I can also use the programable shift light signal (I won't be using the shift light) to activate the 3rd throtle and vvt via a relay too

Hmm not sure, I suppose the bigger the diameter the slower the air flow but same volume being pulled in?
I know with mine at a certain throtle position you can hear it sucking and it almost sounds like a turbo, the idea i was thinking with mine was I'm only putting it back to the same diameter as what it was originally so im hoping its not going to be worse!

Ok so I meant to update over the weekend but didn't get round to it so here it is ;)

The diff is fitted and makes a nice difference, it seems to be a smoother drive and the uptake of power seems smoother too, the acceleration doesn't seem to be as aggressive either but I think it's a nice compromise.
It now cruses at 70 at a smidge over 4k revs whereas before it was 60 at 4k (thats saying the dash rev counter is accurate as I haven't got my aftermarket 1 wired up yet)

Ive also got my throttle body fitted over the weekend too, first impressions are it seems slightly better than before as it picks up a little quicker, it certainly idles better but that's probably down to the new idle control pieces/setup I've put in as the other setup was a bit restrictive.
Thought id treat her to some fancy silicone hose too 8)

Hi I have been watching for a while now and have decided that I want to go this direction in one of my mk6 2.3 petrol vans now one needs valve oil seals .
Any chance of giving a detailed list of mods you had to do , especially the wiring for the ecu .
What diff did you fit ? My Jumbo Petrol is under 3400 rpm at 70
With the S types costing little more than a gasket set for a diesel i am surprised everybody is not asking you ?
Hopefully I can get a 2.5 or 3.0 reasonably cheaply and give it a go in the new year

Yeh no problem, im free most weekends for a natter and a brew up, I'll pm you tomorrow with a list of mods I had to do anyway just so you know what to expect,

This is the link to my other thread of the first van I had the engine fitted to which shows most of the custom mounts/wiring loom etc, this van never went on the road as I was offered the tourneo from luke but it did do a run at north weald but only managed a 24sec run due to the clutch exploding!

Some more goodies arrived today!

The radio surround panel was free off the same fella I bought the tailgate repair piece from, he was kind enough to post out to me if I paid the postage, couldn't say fairer than that!
I just need to tweek the gauge holder so ot sits nice in the slot but first impressions........... I think it looks the tits!! 8)
