Cheers :P officially its medium atlantic blue, it is a realy nice colour in the sunlight (excuse the white bonnet its still to ne done  ) eventually it will have a full respray in the same colour with a black metal flake roof as my spraying attempt is far from good quality but it makes her look presentable for the time being

Righto a few pics to update with, the engine/box is back in situ ive knocked up a linkage/mechanism for the gearbox. I tried a mk6 cable setup first but that proved more difficult than I thought.
It's a bit tight into reverse for now and sits around 5/6 inch further back but ive designed another way of selecting the gears so this setup may well be getting replaced.

Ive also started to refit some of the tourneo wiring to the jag engine, ive also managed to get a new petrol radiator from euro car parts in the easter sale for £88 delivered as the 1 I bought from ebay never arrived (tbh I don't think they even had 1 to post in the first place).

Ive ordered a new belt too as ive altered the route so now runs a smaller belt of 6pk1780.

Lots of little bits to do but for some jobs im waiting for parts and cash to get them!

Few pics as usual 8)

Mine comes down to the gearbox from a multiplug next to the battery tray, i know as i was looking at it yesterday/day before
Just looked at my old messages and the reverse colours are purple- 1 with a white stripe and 1 with an orange stripe.
I'll have to check the speedo

Right time for a little update again, nothing much to report tbh as I was on holiday the week before last and ive been too busy at work all last week and this week looks to be the same! :(
On the upside my radiator and new alternator belt has landed and I did manage to get those fitted on saturday (belt fits like a glove) and also some of the pipework.
A few goodies/parts have also arrived that I ordered for the exhaust so i can get on building the manifolds/system once ive got a working clutch (which im now in the process of building a conversion mechanism from cable to hydraulic).
Ive aslo got to fab up a bracket for the throttle cable.

A few pics as usual and as you can see its starting to get a little busy under the bonnet now!

Cheers! The compliments mean alot :D

To be honest ive been lucky enough to be able to do most of the work in the workshop at work so had use of the welder/crane and a place to dry store her.
It wouldn't be anywhere near what it is now if I hadn't!
Just a few jobs to do that will be easier to do at work and I may well be taking her home!
Time has just been an hour In a morning half hour in the evening (couple of hours on Wednesdays) and for hours on a saturday morning 6-10!
But its worth it and it will be 1 solid and sorted mk5 by the end :)

Little update time and opinions please,
Few jobs done since last time, the clutch conversion mechanism I fab'd up is fitted just requires the fluid reservoir fitting to a bracket and bleeding up, the brakes have been bled up too but I did have to free off a seized n/s front caliper :? (Fingers crossed it will stay off with a bit of use)
Ive also fitted the horns, Ive gone for a pair of air horns as yes im still a big child at heart!!!
The grill isn't finished yet but a little pic shows the idea ive got with the mk6 insert, wanted ot to look different but with a factoy look too?
Ive also made an impulse buy......which is where I need the opinions, im not too sure about the wheel studs? too much or ok? :|

TBH,think being proud of centre caps makes them look OTT,to me ,would look better with studs in second pic and an impulse buy of a set of these,
