lol i did but ran out of paint its was just a tester to see wot it would look like in daytona yellow

As for the welding make sure you get ALL the paint and sh1t off or it will look like pigion sh1t :wink:

Yeh as said you need to clean off all paint/rust on the area to be welded, taking it back to bare metal. A flap wheel on an angle grinder is best for this

Also persoanlly I wear proper work boots, cotton boilersuit and jeans underneath. You don't wanna catch fire- better to be safe than sorry :wink:

Wear the right protection. And make sure that the van doesn't roll forward onto the footpath. That is public highway and if your van is un-taxed, un-MOT'd, or un-insured then you might get your van towed away. On the plus side at least you'll know what happens if it did :P

Good try with the welding. Hit it hard and see if any of them break.

and its not galv plate is it?

your certanly doing the right thing cutting all the rot out, by the time its done you should be pritty good at it :lol:
