Recovery truck advice

Postby blueoval » Sat Jan 28, 2017 2:37 pm

There are some great transit recovery conversions on the forum.
Ive a couple of questions though,

I have got my C1+E licence due to my age and time that I passed driving test, do you think it would be best to get a 7.5 tonne as there seem to be cheap ones about like Merc, Daf and Iveco and I could carry more payload without VOSA troubles for being overweight on the axles especially on a converted transit 3.5 tonne?

thanks loot,

Ive managed to find out a bit more.
avoiding the O Licence is going to be the biggie.
there are ways to avoid it if you only work withinin a 100km radius no tacho is needed.
