MK6 Drivers Step Replacement

Could do with some help and advice from any Welders out there , is this too big a job for a novice with a 100amp Mig?

100 amp mig will do the job fine , mines a 170 and only time its turnt near its max is when I'm doing very thick steel , clean it right up and make your pieces , then trial fit and then itll seem much easier
