My next project - 150 SWB low roof

Postby MinorMatt » Sun Apr 02, 2017 1:53 pm

Ok, so some of you know about this already, but a fortnight ago I picked up another project van.

Its an ex essex police 150 SWB.

Its obvious it used to have a single person cell in the back, but other than that its an odd spec.

Heated windscreen, ABS, airbags, elec windows, mirrors, central locking etc - but only a 76PS bananna engine and originally didn't have power steering

Despite its looks its solid underneath and won't take a lot to get back on the road.

It left essex police on 97K and its only done about 30K since.

Its going to be my tow van and will not have anything in the back except a fold down shelf (aka bunk) so I can use it for dragging cars etc to shows.

In the short term it will get a lucas epic conversion, but I will be aiming to put a modern V6 / other petrol in so I can use it in London.

It also has a twin tank veg kit in the back - which will be surplus to requirements if anyone wants it???.

Pics to follow a bit later

Whats brave about it? Just wings and arches. Nothing at all required underneath everything is completely solid :o
