Rustiest mk6 ever?

Postby smiddy » Thu Apr 13, 2017 11:23 pm

]I`m new here so hi everybody. Just finished doing a little bit of welding on an ex BT mk6 chassis cab which the last owner must have kept in the sea or something! I`ve seen some rusty motors in my time but this has too be one of the worst. 5 or 6 (I lost count) new crossmembers, sills, inner sills. rear corners, inner rear corners, steps, outriggers, wings, oh yeah and a complete new cab floor. Funny thing is when you opened the bonnet the engine looked like brand new it was so clean.
