Time for some programming. Need to enable cruise control heated front & rear screen. Rear wiper & Level 2 instrument cluster for external temp display.

Using IDS you select "update/Special Function"

Enter in the code....

From there you change vehicle parameters. For example Alarm

Cruise control

8.JPG

Dual Battery

9.JPG

Instrument cluster Level (Level 2 is for clusters that has messaging system & display external ambient temperature)

10.JPG

As I have retrofitted a tailgate. I can also change that parameter too :P

After all relevant changes have been made.

Select "modify and reinstate vehicle configuration data"

No need to obtain "modded" file to upload to BCMII just to enable cruise control etc  :P 8)

Not a small task for you putting the "Transit Bible" back together. Very nice work Paul!
Your original thread taught me that I could just experiment and modify my van and that it would probably be alright in the end.
For all the failures I blame myself and you equally

Just one thing though...
No need to obtain "modded" file to upload to BCMII just to enable cruise control etc  :P 8)

I've read through all the posts that were made on this forum when Martin and others were trying to crack the illusive cruise control mod. I thought there would have to be some modified code injection at the very least.
Is it really just a case of selecting "on" in IDS?

Thanks 8)

Although I trimmed this thread down & not all information that's was posted in "old" thread have been included.

As to enable cruise control etc. Yes it's simply selecting it reuploading configuration. - Once you have accessed update/special function.
I would be able to offer a postal service for members who wish to have cruise control etc enabled

If I'm correct. I should be able to enable cruise control on a standard BCMII "B". Which will save members having to obtain a BCMII "C" :P
Although I don't have a BCMII "B" to experiment with. Anyone willing to donate one to science :?:  8)

You can enable it in a B , although in a B unit there is some circuitry missing, so as long as its not for cruise , its will be a win :) I have a spare B I can send you Paul if you'd like to have a play ?
& on the modded file point, the special function code wasn't known about some years back, so Loot & I worked out how to mod the BCM's " As_Built " configuration file manually to get the cruise & other goodies working, thats what i would send out ( sell) to people if they had IDS & wanted cruise or an axle ratio etc activating .

for egr/dpf deletes, power tuning, updates,cloning,speed limiter removal,cruise control, euro 3/4/5/6 limiters & key's !

Ahh that makes a lot more sense. Much respect to you guys for working that out. Im very happy we don’t have to mess about with As built anymore.

Yeah much much easier now, as i had maybe 20% of the options worked out , most of the popular stuff, but it was time consuming ballache working out new stuff

On transit Customs, the option is actually selectable without entering the special function mode, but i've just remembered this is Pauls 2.22 conversion thread , i'll not mess it up with this cruise stuff
